Originally from Omaha, NE, and now based in Greensboro, NC, Danny Vago is a versatile singer/songwriter who has toured extensively across 26 states, from Los Angeles to Birmingham. Whether performing solo or with his band, Vago, he’s shared stages with national acts like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Bright Eyes, Roger Clyne, Tommy Stinson, and Will Hoge.
Danny’s gritty Americana sound combines introspective lyrics with catchy hooks, drawing influence from artists like Ben Harper, Jackson Browne, Bob Mould, and Elvis Costello. Known for both heartfelt storytelling and powerful barroom anthems, his music resonates with fans across genres.
His debut solo album, The Disagreements (2019), saw him taking on guitar, vocals, bass, drums, and piano. His latest project, The Penny Spenders, began recording in March. In 2024, his band Vago releases their fifth studio album, "What I Can't Do, and Danny his his sophomore solo EP, "Way of Abilene," in June.
